Photography is more to me than just a hobby. It is a passion and a major creative outlet that I have been working at for many years. I have spent countless hours finding and perfecting my style in order to provide the most detailed embodiment of my clients’ most emotional and memorable moments.
A big part of my photography style includes my drive to find the perfect balance between my style and my clients’ ideas of the perfect moment. In this it is very important for me to get to know my clients which allows for me to make the photoshoot as comfortable as possible. I want it to be a fun and memorable experience with lots of natural smiles, joking telling, and even a bit of swinging one another around. To me if couples are in their own element, the photos will naturally put their love and relationship on display

This is me!
As you know by now, I'm Mackenzie! I was born and raised in Calgary, AB and find Alberta to be one of the most beautiful places in the world! There is so much magic to be found between the mountains and the city. I have 3 years of experience in photography with two of those years learning from the incredible Kristyn Harder. I have done countless weddings with her learning the ins and outs of all things weddings. I have done several weddings on my own as well as endless engagement, lifestyle and newborn sessions.
Here are some fun facts about me:
1.
I used to be a Division I NCAA gymnast and went to school at North Carolina State University. During my Junior Year of college, I tore my achilles and was unable to compete. The doctor didn't think I would do gymnastics again, but I came back and competed in every competition of my Senior Year and won Comeback of the Year out of all the athletes at my school.

If I see a dog, I need to pet it. I am obsessed with all dogs and will always let my clients bring their furry friends to a photoshoot (as long as I am allowed to pet them). I believe that they are family too! I have a golden retriever at my family home, and my husband and I share a wonderful Lab/Pitbull mix named Ember.

I am addicted to chocolate and popcorn, but when you put them together... GAME CHANGER. It is my ultimate weakness and eat it at least three times a week! Chocolate on popcorn is my go to. In college, every night my roommate and I ate popcorn with Smarties or chocolate chips on it. If you have not tried it, I will most likely talk you into trying it at some point in our time together.

The man who helped make this whole thing happen.
This is my husband Randy. He pushed me to follow my dreams of starting my own photography business. He saw the potential in me that I couldn't see. I have never met someone who believes so much in me and allowed me to quit a full time office job to pursue a dream that even I didn't believe I could do. He supports me in all my crazy adventures while still letting me take a million photos of him, especially when I want to do ANOTHER photo session with Kristyn Harder.
Randy is the one who lights me up and brings so much joy to my world. He is always looking for ways to improve himself, which motivates me to do better in my own life.
I also am so thankful for my entire family for always believing in me and pushing me to follow this passion. Without them, I would not be where I am today.
